IT’S THAT TIME again when citizens who enjoy the pleasures of nature travel to Boquete, Chiriqui, to smell the flowers, savor the coffee and tap toes to the music.

Boquete’s International Flower and Coffee Fair which runs from January 11 through 22, is aiming for 120,000 visitors to mark its 40 fruitful years

They will be drawn to one of the best agricultural events in the region by a famed  display of of flowers, crafts, entertainment, music and traditional agricultural products including of course coffee.

Among the more than 30 varieties of flowers, visitors can explore 25 gardens each with more 60 varieties of plants plus two permanent orchid sites.

Work on the fair begins in February each year with soil preparation, planting and transplanting speciesfrom the fertile lands of Chiriqui and from other regions, principally  Costa Rica, . The fair attracted more than 90,000 thousand visitors last year and hopesare high that the figure will be surpassed  in the next  10 days. 

 Fair manager Joseph Samudio, encourages Panamanians to visit, admire and enjoy the soothing climate that blesses the district of Boquete with nature’s bounty. The event will  also involve more than 120 artisans who will showcase their best work. These artists offer a staggering display their products   and apparel, mostly created with 100% natural materials.
