American treasure hunter searching for Drakes remains

American treasure hunter Pat Croce claimed Monday to have discovered the wrecks of two ships scuttled and sunk off Panama when Sir Francis Drake,  died of dysentery in 1596 and was buried near Portobelo.

Croce will search for Drake's remains in full armor in a lead casket "three leagues" away. Drake was feared by the Spanish as  "Queen Elizabeth 's pirate" and scourge of the Spanish Armada. He was also a supplier of slaves to Spanish settlers in Latin America.
