French court rejects Noriega conditional release

The French Court of Appeals rejected  Wednesday a plea for the conditional release of former Panama dictator Manuel Antonio Noriega.

The submission came from his lawyers in the context of the second extradition request from the Government of Panamasaid  news agency EFE.

The decision coincided with a request submitted by the prosecution rejecting  the the  argument that "Noriega presents no serious problem for appearing in court if an interim release.

Yesterday, before the court denied his request, Noriega denounced "some underground policy" to prevent his return to Panama, and suggested that there are the authorities of his country, hampering his  delivery with repeated demands for extradition.
