51 reported dead from hospital bacteria

Bacteria at a Social Security Fund (CSS) hospital in Panama has killed 51 patients since June 1. say medical staff.

The report in La Estrella de Panama  says the agency prefers not to speak of the number of deceased patients, but the doctor Julio Osorio said that between June and July there have been 51 victims. 

A warning of the presence of bacteria in the complex has been  circulating since  June.  Domingo Moreno, said the situation has created a crisis in the operating rooms and intensive care of the Hospital Arnulto Arias Madrid.

A statement from the CSS published in La Prensa confirmed 16 dead from Klebssiella  pneumonine.
