President’s credibility at stake says Deputy
The credibility of President Ricardo Martinelli and the Democratic Change (CD) party are at stake over unfulfilled promises said Panamenista deputy Jose Isabel Blandon on Sunday, June 12.
Speaking on RPC, Channel Four’s Face to Face program, Blandon said that his party was not afraid of going to a primary to determine who will be inter-party presidential candidate in 2014.
"We will win this primary" he said.
Referring to the "delicate" situation in the coalition government. he laid the blame at the door of the CD for going with its own candidate for president of the National Assembly and called on the government leader to respect his word and on July 1 allow to Panameñista Alcibiades Vasquez to head the National Assembly. "I am confident that agreement will be fulfilled, " he added. {jathumbnail off}
"Here what is at stake is the credibility of the CD and the President as head of that game, " said Brandon.
During and after the election his picture with Martinelli was prominently displayed on billboards.
