Money laundered in condo swimming pool

When police raided an apartment building in Panama, two suitcases were thrown out of a window and landed in the building’s swimming pool.

They were packed  with money  which was well and truly laundered.

Drug Prosecutor, Javier Caraballo, announced Saturday, June 11that he  has laid money laundering charges against  eight  people under arrest since the raid after $2 million was found in another two brief  cases in the same building on Calle 50 in San Francisco.

At the   press conference, staff from the PN and the Drug Prosecutor's said that an investigation was underway to determine whether, any exchange of drugs had taken place.

According to a departmental report, 19 tons of drugs  have been seized in Panama so far this year.
