More traffic snarls as Metro subway work expands

If you use Fernández de Córdoba, to get around the city,  it may be time to consider an alternate route as work started  Wednesday June 1  on the construction of an underground station for the new Metro subway system.

The work will take 10 to 12 months if there are no hitches. On his Twitter account, President Ricardo Martinelli, called for  the public to be patient, as the subway would make life better for all.

There will be a re arrangement of lanes on Vista Hermosa to absorb some of the diverted traffic, but, as promised when the building of the Metro was announced, traffic in Panama is going to get a lot worse before it gets better.
