No joy riding in state owned vehicles during carnival

Joy riding in state owned vehicles will be a no-no during Carnival says the country’s Comptroller Bianchini Gioconda.
She has sent a memo to all government employees outlining guidelines for the use of state-owned vehicles, as well as the fines for violations.
Starting Thursday, March 3, the Comptroller's Office will bechecking for the unauthorized use of vehicles during Carnival.
"We will be maintaining strict surveillance at the national level of official vehicles," the comptroller said.
In the past here have been numerous reported examples of vehicles being used improperly.
Violators will have their cases reviewed by the Auditor General's Office and will face possible fines.
