Panama being propelled into first world — Martinelli

Panama “the only country in the world run by businessmen" is in “no hurry" for the United States Congress to approve the free trade agreement (FTA) between the two nations.

This statement came Wednesday, January 26 from Panama’s President, Ricardo Martinelli, to news agency AFP in Davos, Switzerland where he is attending the World Economic Summit.
But he added that U.S. investment and products will be most harmed by the delay in approval.
He told AFP of the positive results and "significant advances" made by his administration to propel Panama into the "first world."
