The Dry Season Picnic you won’t want to miss

The Social Scene

with Dra Lourdes Quijada

If you are a picnic and/or a barbecue lover the Tucan Country Club is the place to be on Saturday , January 22.

That’s the date of one of my favorite social events of the year, The American Society of Panama (Amsoc) Dry Season Picnic. Of course, as we all know, “Dry” is a relative term this year, unless you live in an area where the Idaan taps have been turned off. But we are getting sunny skies and the odd sun shower won’t deter members and guests.

The feasting will take place in the Horoka Restaurant (that’s through the second gate) and the fun starts at 3 p.m. and goes on until 6.You will be able to  fill yuour plate with  hot dogs, BBQ chicken, potato salad , corn on the cob and baked beans, and a dessert and in the background the music of Anita and Michael.

If you area a paid up member the cost will be only $10, and children under 10 eat for free. Non members or those with unpaid dues will have to fork out $25, so if you move quickly and pay up, your renewal fee will get a hefty reduction.
New members who joined between October of 2010 and January get to eat Free.
You have until Wednesday January 19 to order your tickets, Check out AmericanSocietyofPanama@gmail.com
