Police give a Ho, Ho, Ho to the Christmas spirit

Yuletide became more expensive for 1,035 drivers, ticketed by the National Police for traffic violations over the holiday, including 106 to drivers who had imbibed too much of the Christmas spirit.

Panama City had 444 who went home with tickets to stuff in their stockings while 681 were recorded in the interior. That comes to more than 1,035, but some offenders got more than one fine.

148 vehicles were towed, and 196 drivers were ticketed after radar traps caight them driving well over the speed limit.
