CRIME: When one Blackberry = one life

There were two recent killings in Panama for nothing more than a Blackberry cell phone.

The first was a 38 year old bombero (Fireman) officer, with 15 years service, who was shot on the steps of his home in Tocumen. Two assailants escaped on bicycles. It took over 15 minutes for help to reach the officer, who died of his injuries , The second killing for a cell phone was 17 year old youth. 

None of the killers have been arrested.
On the weekend the body of a 34 year old National Police Officer was found on a road leading to a private estate in the district of La Chorrera.
The body of the officer was found lying next to the bodies of two other men. Nearby was an abandoned taxi
The case is being investigated by the Public Ministry.

In Chorillo a three year old was hit during a gun battle between rival gangs.
