Prostitute killers of prominent Panama lawyer found guilty

It took a jury just 90 minutes to find two  Colombian prostitutes guilty of murdering a prominent Panama lawyer. 

They returned the verdict on Friday evening (October 19) on Melany Narváez and Blanca Donadofor the killing Juan Carlos Dudle, then vice president of the Panama Bar Association.

He was stabbed to death in a  Panama “push button hotel”  in December 2007.
Narváez was found guilty of committing the murder, and Donado was found guilty of being accomplice. They both face a maximum penalty of 20 years in prisonThe trial of the two women took four days.
The prosecution used statements made by the women to police in which they admitted to the crime. The defence failed to convince the jury that Narváez was suffering from a mental illness at the time of the killing.
