Former mayor calls for apology from arrogant and lazy security Minister
Panama’s former mayor, Juan Carlos Navarro, has called on the Minister of the InteriorJose Raul Mulino, to apologize to the family of JavierJustiniani, for remarks he made after the prisoners’ rights lawyer was shot dead in his office last week.
Navarro, speaking on RBC radio called Mulino’s attitude "lazy and arrogant" . "No matter what the circumstances of an event like this, nobody has the right to disrespect a deceased person or their families."
The former would be presidential candidate, condemned the lack of security in Panama and said the minister was not interested in the safety of Panamanians, because he walks with bodyguards in cars and on motorcycles, and that was a a "slap in the face" to the Panamanian people.
He added that the attitude of "scorn and humiliation" towards the Justianini family by Mulino has no place in Panama.
"I want to publicly condemn the Minister Mulino and ask him to apologize to the family which, like all Panamanians must be respected," he said Navarro.
