Ex-president’s bail request turned down
A bail application by former president Ernesto Perez Balladares, was turned down On Friday (February 19) in the 9th Circuit Criminal Court.
The tribunal, headed by Diego Fernandez Panigua judge also rejected as irrelevant other requests made by the lawyers of Perez Balladares, including the revocation of house arrest ordered by criminal prosecutor, José Ayú Prado, and the return of passports.
Perez Balladares is facing charges of money laundering.
