Panama sends more aid to Haiti
A team of six orthopedic specialists, accompanied by three paramedics and three rescue workers became the firsr official users of Panama’s new $22 million presidential plane.
They left Panama for the Haitian capital Port Au Prince on Tuesday, carrying supplies of strong painkillers, gauze, bandages and material to make plaster casts. They will remain in the capital for a week.
The 7.3-degree earthquake killed at least150 thousand people, and it is estimated that rebuilding the country will take a decade or more.
