Tocumen International rebounds
Tocumen International Airport mobilized 2,863,751 passengers during the first two months of this year, of which 1,347,326 travelers correspond to the month of February, according to a statement released on Tuesday, March 14.
Raffoul Arab, general manager of Tocumen International said “the results to date are in line with projections.”
Tocumen estimates to exceed 17 million passengers in 2023.
“ We are seeing a consolidation in the recovery of the air transport industry for passengers and cargo ”, affirmed Arab.

“The volatile global macroeconomic environment is defining the development of the market and of the airlines,” he stressed.
International connections
in February, Tocumen maintained direct routes to 83 destinations, through 17 commercial airlines that offer services to the main cities in America and Europe.
The results for February indicate that of the total number of passengers who used the Tocumen terminal, 67% were connecting passengers. In addition, 10,655 aircraft movements were managed.
According to the data provided by the Statistics Department of the Tocumen International Airport, the markets with the highest regional movement in February were South America at 44%, followed by North America at 28%, the Caribbean at 11%, and Central America contributed 10%. , and European markets contributed a 7% share.
Regarding the cargo terminal, 15,272 metric tons of merchandise were mobilized during the second month.
