Covid deaths down for 10-weeks

Panama has 10 consecutive weeks with a downward trend in covid-19 deaths, and for 11 weeks reported cases have been declining.

The number of hospitalized has also been registering a drop, for nine weeks. The week that closed, 604 were hospitalized, of which 508 were in the ward and the rest in intensive care units.

Ministry of Health (Minsa) reports show that the epidemiological week that ended on Saturday (March 21-27) closed with 2,832 new infections 192 fewer cases than the previous week when 3,024 were registered.
