With a Criminal Record Due to Sexual Offenses, Immigration Officials Detain an Argentine Citizen.

The National Migration Service reported that it detained a 48-year-old Argentine citizen in the Villa Lucre sector of the San Miguelito district, after verification systems triggered an alert during a control procedure.  According to information provided by the agency, the citizen held a valid temporary residency permit. However, upon checking the verification systems, an impediment related to crimes against sexual freedom and integrity was identified. 

The search also had an associated arrest and transport order, so the established protocols were followed and the current judicial order was respected.  The National Migration Service emphasized that verification systems are used permanently in public spaces and checkpoints, as part of the actions aimed at strengthening citizen security and ensuring compliance with the provisions issued by the judicial authorities.  The institution highlighted that these mechanisms allow for the detection of alerts and the verification of the situation of individuals during immigration and security control procedures.
