Past Panama President Martín Torrijos Confirms the Registration Process of the UNE Party

This Wednesday, former President Martín Torrijos Espino went to the Electoral Tribunal to formally present the request for the constitution of the new political organization “United for the New Era” (UNE).  This process comes after Torrijos officially launched UNE on May 17 of this year.  After touring the country and listening to the citizens, Torrijos explained that the initiative seeks to channel the proposals gathered in the communities. 

Upon leaving the Electoral Tribunal, after submitting the documents, Torrijos expressed his excitement at completing this first stage and highlighted that the required signatures were delivered by province and region.  “This is the first step towards the formalization of this new political organization,” the former president noted.  With the submission of the application to the Electoral Tribunal, UNE is advancing in the formal process for the constitution and registration of the new political organization.
