Panama Teachers Get Fifty-Nine Thousand Laptops with US Technology

In a milestone for bilateral cooperation and the digital transformation of the education sector, the United States Ambassador to Panama, Kevin Marino Cabrera, announced a strategic alliance with the multinational companies Intel, Microsoft and the Ministry of Education of Panama (Meduca).  The initiative includes the acquisition of 59,000 laptops equipped with American technology, intended for teachers throughout the country. 

During the announcement, the diplomat emphasized his government’s vision regarding the role of U.S. companies in the Central American country: “My opinion, as U.S. ambassador, is that we recommend U.S. companies come, invest in Panama, and make lasting investments, bringing jobs, training, and benefits to both countries,” said Kevin Cabrera.  The purchase of this equipment represents a key step in providing Panamanian educators with advanced, secure and reliable technological tools, consolidating a bridge of mutual development.  “Under President Trump’s leadership, the United States is creating business opportunities for American companies abroad and ensuring that our partners have access to world-class American technology,” Cabrera said on X.
