It Will Be a Long Weekend in Arraiján Due to Lane Closures and Construction on Panama Metro

Metro de Panamá SA reported that, as part of the construction work for Metro Line 3 in the district of Arraiján, it will lift the first section of the pedestrian walkway of the future Burunga station, which will require the closure of a section of the Arraiján–La Chorrera highway.  The temporary lane closure will be in the direction towards downtown Panama City, from La Popular Eddy to Plaza Kuang, in the Burunga sector, from 9:30 pm on Saturday, August 1 until 6:00 pm on Sunday, August 2.  One lane will be open in each direction, and drivers are advised to take precautions and consider alternate routes.  Those who need to go to the center of Panama should use the “U” turn enabled in front of the entrance of the La Arboleda residential area and continue on the Arraiján-La Chorrera highway.  Residents of affected side streets will be able to access their homes with authorization from police units stationed in the area.
