Panama’s Madeline Miller is Going for the Miss World Crown
Madeline Elena Miller Vergara is preparing to represent Panama in the 73rd Miss World pageant, whose grand finale will be held on September 5th in Nha Trang, Vietnam. The young woman will travel on August 2nd to begin preparations in Quảng Ninh province. The Panamanian representative pointed out that one of her main strengths will be resilience and recalled that during her childhood she suffered bullying due to her physical build and because she was born with attention deficit, experiences that marked her life, but that also drove her to grow. “For me, it’s not just about the crown, but about being able to use this platform to raise my voice for those children and young people who believe they are not capable.
I want to be an example that it is possible,” she expressed. Miller explained that she decided to accept the challenge of competing for the motto that distinguishes Miss World, “Beauty with a Purpose”, considering that the contest allows each participant to show their essence and social commitment. As part of her preparation, she indicated that she is working on both her physical and emotional well-being, with an emphasis on mental health to cope with pressure and criticism. In Vietnam, she will also present a project based on her own life story, in which she will share the experiences that have shaped her personal growth.
Faith and Purpose Guide Their Participation
Miller stated that she wants to be remembered “as a girl of faith.” She expressed that “Although many think that one shouldn’t talk so much about the spiritual aspect, for me it’s part of who I am.” The Panamanian representative affirmed that her purpose is to project authenticity and demonstrate that a Miss can inspire through her values and principles.

At 23 years old, Miller is studying Business Administration and is a professional model with experience in Spain. It is part of the Christian organization Palabra de Vida Panamá, which conducts spiritual camps. She loves sports, reading, and entrepreneurship. She is also represented by Fifth Models. She carries out volunteer work, bringing her leadership, communication, and service to the communities.
