Operation “Nomad” Hits Microtrafficking in Chiriquí Province Panama
In compliance with the guidelines of the Firmness 2026 Plan, the National Police, through the Intelligence Sections, in coordination with the Public Ministry, continues to develop operational and intelligence actions in the province of Chiriquí, achieving significant results in the fight against crime. Operation “Nomad”, developed during the month of March of this year, was focused on the identification, monitoring and dismantling of people dedicated to the commercialization of illicit substances in various districts of the province, through the execution of investigative and operational procedures.
In this police action, 14 operations were brought to court, which allowed the arrest of 13 people allegedly linked to these events, many of them with criminal records, demonstrating their repeated participation in illicit activities related to drugs. The detainees were placed in the custody of the appropriate authorities for processing. The National Police reiterates its commitment to continue strengthening the strategies of Plan Firmeza in order to combat micro-trafficking and guarantee the safety and peaceful coexistence of citizens.
Operation “Filax Leads to Arrests and Raids in Chiriquí
Within the framework of the Firmness 2026 Plan, the National Police, through the Police Intelligence Section and in association with officials from the Public Ministry, executed Operation “Filax” in the province of Chiriquí, as part of the actions aimed at locating and apprehending people wanted by the justice system for various crimes. During this operation, 17 search warrants were executed in the districts of David, Alanje, Boquerón, Boquete and Dolega, resulting in the arrest of 22 citizens.
They were wanted by judicial authorities for crimes such as extortion, fraud, crimes against sexual freedom and integrity, crimes against collective security, crimes against the economic order, crimes against life and personal integrity (gender violence), as well as crimes against the family legal order and civil status, related to alimony and domestic violence. Because of these actions, a person was apprehended with alleged illicit substances, including dried herbs and a pipe with residue.
The National Police reiterates its commitment to continue carrying out operational actions within the framework of the Firmness Plan 2026, aimed at locating and apprehending individuals with outstanding warrants before the justice system, strengthening coordination with the Public Ministry to combat crime in all its forms and guarantee the safety, public order and peaceful coexistence of citizens.
