An Alleged International Foreign Drug Trafficker Wanted Abroad is Apprehended by Interpol Panama
The National Police, through Interpol Panama and with the support of Linces motorized units, managed to apprehend a French citizen on Balboa Avenue, who was wanted by his country through an INTERPOL Red Notice. During the verification of his information, it was discovered that the individual was carrying a temporary immigration card with false information. Following the corresponding investigations, it was confirmed that he is Joël Soudron, born in France.
The citizen is required by the Correctional Court of Créteil, France, to serve a criminal sentence for the crimes of unauthorized importation of narcotics, unauthorized transportation of narcotics and participation in a criminal organization. This man is described by investigators from the National Fugitive Investigation Brigade (BNRF) as an international trafficker, “very discreet, thoughtful, and with the overall appearance of having great financial success”. In February 2016, he was arrested in Mali and imprisoned to serve a six-year sentence for another case in which he had been convicted in France. In September 2018, he took advantage of a temporary release permit to escape.
