Diaz hat trick gives Panama 4-0 victory over Qatar

Panama thrashed Qatar 4-0 on Saturday, July 8 to reach the semi-finals of the Concaf Gold Cup.   They will now meet the winner of the Sunday evening Canada-USA match-up.

The game started with high energy with both teams trading chances until Édgar Bárcenas’ towering header in the 19th minute opened up the score. Qatar got some quality chances but the score ultimately remained 1-0 going into halftime. Heading into the second half Panama, placed the pressure on Qatar and didn’t look back. Headlined by a hat trick from Ismael Díaz, Panama cruised to a 4-0  victory.
