Three People Arrested for Robbing a Rideshare Driver in San Miguelito

The suspects were captured by the National Police and were placed under the orders of the relevant authorities.

Panama City, Panama:   The rapid intervention of the National Police led to the arrest of three people, allegedly linked to an aggravated robbery against a driver of a digital platform, an incident that occurred in the district of San Miguelito.  According to preliminary investigations, the suspects requested a ride through a digital application in the Torrijos Carter area. Upon arriving at the agreed-upon location, the individuals surprised the driver, threatening him with a firearm and robbing him of his personal belongings and the vehicle. 


After receiving the alert, police officers immediately launched a search operation that allowed them to track the stolen vehicle. During the chase, the suspected criminals collided with another vehicle, then abandoned the stolen car and fled, taking refuge in a residence in the area. Through coordinated actions between the National Police and the Public Ministry, the property was raided, resulting in the arrest of the three suspects, who were placed under the orders of the competent authorities for the corresponding procedures.
