Panama’s Joey Montana Lit up Acapulco: The Panamanian Unleashed the Party at Tonic Fest 2025

The artist thrilled Playa Tamarindos with ‘Picky’, ‘La Melodía’ and other hits on a night that reaffirmed his connection with Mexico.

Joey Montana once again proved why he is one of the most beloved Latin artists in Mexico. The Panamanian singer born in Boquete, ignited the closing of Tonic Fest Acapulco 2025, held at Tamarindos Beach, where thousands of attendees sang along to his hits in a performance filled with rhythm, energy, and charisma.  With iconic songs like ‘Picky’, ‘La Melodía’, ‘Suena el Dembow’, ‘Moribundo’, and ‘Tus Ojos No Me Ven’, Joey delivered one of the most vibrant moments of the festival. His performance, scheduled between 7:05 and 7:45 pm, stood out as one of the most anticipated sets of the day.  The artist shared a message of gratitude on social media to the city that welcomed him with enthusiasm.

“Thank you Acapulco,” he wrote alongside a photo taken behind the scenes, sparking interaction from his fans.  Montana, 44, a key figure in Latin music for over two decades, reaffirmed his role as a leading figure in urban pop and Caribbean music.  At Tonic Fest, he joined a lineup that included Los Tigres del Norte, La Original Banda El Limón, Polymarchs, and Germán Montero, in an event designed to boost tourism and celebrate Acapulco’s resilience.  His performance not only celebrated his career, but also his return to major events.  Music, the beach, and thousands of voices singing in unison provided the perfect setting for an artist who has won over the Mexican public.
