14 Panama Players Called Up for the 2025 Women’s Futsal World Cup
The team will travel to the Philippines on November 17 to compete in the first FIFA Women’s Futsal World Cup, where they will face Italy, Iran, and Brazil in Group D.
The Panama Women’s Futsal Team has already confirmed its 14 players to compete in the first edition of the FIFA Women’s Futsal World Cup, which will be held in Manila, Philippines, from November 21 to December 7. The team led by Amarelis De Mera will begin its final week of training in the country this Monday, November 10, with sessions scheduled at Yappy Park from 9:30 am until Sunday the 16th.

The trip to Manila is scheduled for Monday the 17th in the evening, where the team will complete its preparation before its World Cup debut. The national team will debut against Italy on Sunday, November 23, followed by a match against Iran on Wednesday the 26th, and will close out the group stage against Brazil on Saturday the 29th. All matches will be played at the Philsports Arena in Manila. Panama is in Group D.
The Team’s Recent Path
Panama arrives at the World Cup after a successful year. In addition to their runner-up finish in the Pre-World Cup held last May, the women’s national team won the silver medal at the 2025 Central American Games, held in Guatemala in October, where they secured a victory against Nicaragua (5-1) and lost in the decisive match against the host team (6-2).
