Maintenance work at the Penonomé water treatment plant. The service interruption is scheduled from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. and is intended to ensure the proper functioning of the pumping equipment, the agency reported.

The National Institute of Aqueducts and Sewers (IDAAN) reported that this Tuesday, October 14, the supply of drinking water will be temporarily suspended in Penonomé and surrounding areas due to preventive cleaning work at the raw water intake of the local water treatment plant. The service interruption is scheduled to run from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. and is intended to ensure the proper functioning of the pumping equipment, the agency reported. The affected communities include: Chigoré, El Carmen, Cristo Rey, Paseo del Río, Villas de Llano Marín, CRUC, Cerro Centenario, December 8, Miraflores, El Prado, Altos del Prado, Las Lomas, Villa Cumbrera, and Villa Bonita. IDAAN recommends residents take the necessary steps to store water in advance and avoid setbacks during the suspension period.
