In Panama Capac and Suntracs will Begin Negotiations with Mitradel as Mediator

The decision was approved by the Capac general assembly and seeks to guarantee a transparent process, with legal certainty and institutional support.

The Panamanian Chamber of Construction (Capac) reported that the negotiation of the new collective bargaining agreement with the National Union of Construction and Similar Workers (Suntracs) will be carried out through a conciliation and mediation process, in accordance with the Labor Code and with the intervention of the Ministry of Labor and Labor Development (Mitradel).  The announcement follows the receipt, on September 24, of the petition submitted by Suntracs, which includes financial and administrative proposals. 


The decision was approved by the Capac general assembly and seeks to guarantee a transparent process, with legal certainty and institutional support.  The Chamber reiterated its commitment to constructive dialogue and reaching consensus that strengthens labor relations in the construction sector. Capac emphasized that respect for institutions and current labor regulations are essential to reaching agreements that benefit workers, companies, and the country.
