Womens art at Alliance Franaise
In the days leading up to International Women’s Day the works of eight local women artists were shown last week at Panama’s Alliance Française.
Scores of art lovers turned up to view works ranging from a snow scene to depictions of Panama’s skyline , and dramatic sea scenes, from large scale murals to miniatures. There were works in oils, acrylics and charcoal.
The exhibitors were Alla E. Quintero, Kiki Taylor and Maritza Urriola who submitted jointly, Inga Kouznetsova, Maria Esperanza Diaz, Liha Mendez, Bibiana Riveros Ramirez, and Alla Vorobyova
Among those who turned up to share in the celebration and view the “opposition” was renowned Kuna artist Oswaldo DeLeon Kantule, perhaps better known as Achu.
The Alliance Française in Bella Vista , which provides French language instruction, is also a valued contributor to Panama’s cultural scene and offer.
