Hands of Stone life story to go on stage

A STAGE production of the life of Panama’s boxing legend Roberto "Hands of Stone" Duran is in the works, following closely on a film to be released mid-year.

Duranmade the announce Monday, February 24 saying it is planned to take his life to the theater, as is currently being done in a film production.

"The idea is that people know my life as is being done in the movies, but live," Duran said after attending a film industry awards event for Iberoamericana.
Hands of Stone which was filmed in Panama and the United States and is now in post-production, involves the actor Robert De Niro and singer Usher, and is slated for release this summer.
