Panama Workers Arrested for Protesting on Balboa Avenue Face Hearing
Relatives of those arrested arrived very early at both locations to find out what would happen to these people.

Suntracs confirms closure of their bank accounts at the National Bank after the protests. The 74 Suntracs workers and members who participated in the fierce confrontation with the National Police on February 12 on Avenida Balboa were transferred to the Training and Recreation Center (CEFRE) of the Social Security Fund in Villa Lucre, where the hearing will be held to control their guarantees.

Authorities reported that the hearing, which was initially to be held in the Accusatory Criminal System, would be held at the CEFRE due to space reasons; the press teams were moved there. During this hearing, the judge will have to legalize the arrest of the workers, and based on the evidence presented by the prosecution, charges will be filed and the necessary precautionary measures will be granted.
