A  WHODUNIT, with the opportunity to test your investigative skills, plus fine food and wine, and  a  murderous bingo event will be  wrapped into one, at the CanadaPLUS Foundation’s latest Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre presentation … “Murder Spells Bingo.”

The action, takes place at Our Lady of Almost Lost Causes orphanage, struggling to raise money with a bingo night to save the property from a takeover by the mob or a rapacious developer and, as one of the audience, you will be part of the event.

It’s headed by Father O’ Sullivan who, in between calling bingo numbers, finds time to hear the confessions of hood  from the mob and a love struck female  orphan, anxious to be married.

When murder strikes, the priest takes over the investigation with help from the audience.

Dynamically directed by Professor  Kendall McKella McDray with more tricks up his sleeve than there are numbers on a  table full of bingo cards,  the rehearsals I’ve attended promise a fun night out and, as always at the Miramar Intercontinental Hotel,  you can be sure of a fine meal  and an accompanying glass of wine to tune up your sleuthing abilities.

IMG_6544The  play will be staged on July 11-13 and  tickets are $30 for members, $40 for non-members, which for dinner, wine and entertainment  sounds to me like every one there will be able to call “Bingo.”

The curtain up on the play by Robert Matthson is at 7.30 pm. so you should aim to fill your glass and take your seat at 7.15.

You can make your reservations by calling 6619-6890 or emailing clubcanadaplus@gmail.com .

The performers are: Desiree Chan, Mike Mapp, Chris Martinez, Sheila Phillips, Gael Pontrucher, Lourdes Quijada and Yoel  Willner.
Don’t leave it until the last minute as the previous five Dinner Theatre series have all been sell outs and there were disappointed late bookers.

Any Surplus funds will go towards staging the Foundation’s annual charity event, Carols By Candlelight in aid of Hospital Santo Tomas and Vision of Hope.
