“Sound of Freedom”  premieres in Panama Aug. 31

  After achieving a sweeping box office success in the United States, the film Sound of Freedom starring Jim Caviezel will premiere in Panama . in all Cinépolis and Cinemark theaters nationwide on August 31.

Directed by Alejandro Monteverde and produced by Eduardo Verártegui,  Sound of Freedom is based on the true story of Tim Ballard, a former CIA agent who quits his job to dedicate himself to rescuing children from child sex trafficking through his organization “Operation Underground Railroad.”

It stars Jim Caviezel (The Passion of the Christ), Academy Award winner Mira Sorvino (Mighty Aphrodite), Bill Camp, José Zúñiga and Eduardo Verástegui.

The film is an incredible true story that brings light and hope to the dark world of child trafficking. After rescuing a boy from traffickers, a federal agent discovers that the boy’s sister is still being held captive and decides to embark on a dangerous mission to save her. With time against him, he quits his job and ventures deep into the Colombian jungle, putting his life on the line to free her and bring her back home.
