Justice imprisons fat monkeys — President Martinelli

President  Ricardo Martinelli,  has sent a strong message to the office of Attorney General, Ana Matilde Gomez : “Do not be intimidated by big names”.

Addressing the  opening of the second term of the first session of the Assembly he said that
 it was time for justice be applied to all Panamanians, emphasizing that every roguery, rascality and crime committed should be "punished with the hammer of the law …
"During the administration of true justice it imprisons fat monkeys," said the President.
 "When it comes to criminals I am no friend of anyone … no family or friends are worth it".
Gomez should fulfill her duty to prosecute offenders: " She owes nothing to them or anyone … only to justice and the Panamanian people," said Martinelli .
He added that prosecutors in the country are courageous and have moral support and admiration and they should "not be intimidated."
