Rush for the interior created traffic deaths
Holy Friday was also Black Friday with six people killed in traffic accidents as they rushed to the Interior.
There were 97 accidents reported, including many involving drivers and passengers not wearing safety belts.
The high accident rate was often caused by speeding, resulting in cars rolling over in the provinces of Chiriquí, Colón, Darién, Herrera, and Panama. There were also numerous accidents involving pedestrians.
