PRD about to disappear says Martinelli

President Ricardo Martinelli marked the  12th anniversary celebration of the party he founded, The Democratic Party for Change (CD) with a statement that  the Revolutionary Democratic Party (PRD),  "is about to disappear."

He also questioned the role of the opposition leaders, and highlighted the role assumed by the CD. A group of government officials took advantage of the ceremony to signed up for the party.

Labor Minister, Alma Cortes said the CD has become one of the most important political forces in the country, and unlike other groups its leader is active.

In another statement , Martinelli gave notice to the Minister of Health, Franklyn Vergara, to coordinate with Governor José Martínez the reactivation of the operating rooms of Hospital Luis Chicho Fabrega.

The President said  that two operating rooms in the Social Security hospital are not enough to cover the demand for surgeries; but  Vergara said he already has $ 70 million destined for the blood bank and another $140,000 to improve the operating rooms.
