Cell phones for 24/7 government secretaries defended

A government minister rushed to defend the provision of cell phones for secretaries of government Ministers.

The Minister of Economy and Finance, Alberto Vallarino said Wednesday (June 16): “If we were in the Stone Age this measure would not be understood. But in this modern world,  Panamanian men and women, require their staff to be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.”
He said it would be unreasonable for these people (secretaries and bodyguards) to pay phone use to locate the 14 ministers. {jathumbnail off}
