Rain holds back for Mayor’s parade

There were fireworks aplenty at Parque Urraca on Monday Nov 1, courtesy of Panama City Mayor Bosco Vallarino, and  the rain fell only lightly on his parade.

The fireworks display followed a torchlight parade along Avenida Balboa, including  bands , police units,  and schools.  An evening precursor to the full scale events scheduled for November 3 and 4, which  take place during the day.

Earlier in the week, the City Hall was flood lit in the country's red white and blue colors. 

The parade, which kicked off an hour late was sparsely attended as there was little advance publicity.
