Centennial Bridge access (maybe) in September

Don’t bet the  mortgage on being able to drive to and fro over the Centennial bridge by August as forecast earlier.

The projected August completion day of the road works leading to the bridge has now become "August or September," according to Public Works Minister, Federico Suárez. On Tuesday  March 22.

At that point, he said on TVN,  the two access ramps to the bridge should be open and restored to 100 percent capacity

He said that, at the end of this month  the MOP will announce "the formal opening” of two-way traffic on the existing lane  which, at the moment allows only one way traffic and that  only during peak hours.

Suárez promised  that vehicles with heavy loads will also soon be allowed to pass over the Centennial Bridge.
