Million dollar Free Zone “shopping’ trip spoiled.

A Colombian couple living in Punta Pacifica were planning something more than window shopping” in Panama’s Free Zone.

When officers  from the Drug Prosecutor's Office  dropped by, they seized more than a million dollars which the couple said was for a trip to Duty Free stores. With the cuffs on a they got  instead a quick trip to the local un-free zone, the  local lock up.

Across the city another million dollars, wrapped in small black passages was found  at Albrook Airport on a plane with U.S. registration. The American pilots were posing as United States government officials.They were arrested along with two Colombians and two Panamanians
