C&W service woes expand

Thousands of users of internet, cell phone and  Digital TV services were hit in many parts of the country on Saturday, May 14

The woes of The Cable & Wireless (C & W)  and customers in Panama City, expanded They had been affected by  an underground explosion on Friday, and the next day  a break in the fiber optic link between Rio Abajo and John Franco slashed services in  many areas.

Digital TV,  cell phones and internet access were cut and internet service to the Interior was slowed down.
Meanwhile,

In David, Chiriquí, parts of the province of Colon and in Panama  3G mobile customers were hit by instability in the service.
