10 inmates in critical condition after fire at juvenile detention center

The second fire this year in a juvenile detention fire sent 10 inmates to hospital on Monday. They were listed in critical condition.

The fire was started in a dispute between rival gangs at the Centro de Cumplimiento de Menores de Arcoíris.

At Snato Tomas Hospital Doctor Néstor Vega said that the victims have burns over 10 to 20 percent of their bodies.

In five of inmates died after a fire at a juvenile center in Tocumen. 

A number of police officers and prison officials have been charged over that incident after videos appeared on TV showing police standing by as victims screamed for help.
