Centennial Bridge will open for holiday traffic

All lanes of the Centennial Bridge will be open for vehicle from 12:01 am on Wednesday November 2 in time for the national holidays.

Public Works Minister  Federico Suarez said he  had planned to reopen on Monday, but there was still some outstanding work to finish.

He said the reopening was also delayed due to heavy rains  over the weekend.  "So let's wait one more day to  finish some little details in the area. On Wednesday we will have 100% of the bridge open."

During the Independence Day celebrations  work will continue on the bridge in some areas such as cleaning the cables. "Lighting of the bridge should be complete and ready by around November 20.
