19 high profile cases on the books for Attorney General

At least 19 high-profile investigations have been opened in the Public Ministry (MP) by Attorney General  José Ayú Prado  since he took office  last January.

He replaced Giuseppe Bonissi, who resigned in December 2010 over a scandal within his office

In the 19 cases, the prosecutors assigned by Ayú Prado  are interviewing  50 people  of which, however, only nine are under preventive arrest.
