Earthy water is safe says Health Minister

Minister of Health, Franklin Vergara,  has identified three areas where the drinking water has an earthy flavor but says there is nothing to worry about.

The latest report on water quality in the capital showed that the communities of Parque Lefevre, Pueblo Nuevo and San Francisco are the affected areas but, says Vegara

explained that "There is nothing to worry about. Perhaps there was a land contamination for some jobs, this can happen, but fortunately the water is coming out suitable for human consumption ".

He recommended to those who still have doubts to, boil and then strain water for consumption.

In addition, the Water Authority, Idaan, announced the suspension of water service on Sunday March 11 from 6 am, for 12 hours, due to work on the Panama subway line in Panama.
