Criticisms of government are inventions Martinelli.
President, Ricardo Martinelli, said on Monday, April 23, that the criticisms of his administration are nothing more than "inventions".
The statement came as more revelations of cell phone conversations involving Italian businessman Valter Lavitola, under investigation for corruption, and government officials including mayor Roxana Mendez surface,
He seized upon the opportunity to repeat his views on the media and his opponents while laying the cornerstone of the City Hospital in Clayton.
His opponents, he said, are unable to criticize the work his administration is doing and "when works cannot becriticized, they criticize the messenger, invent any wrongdoing, corruption and wnatever you want to call it, for they know not recognize that things have to be done to change the quality of life of the Panamanian people."
He declined to give specific statements about the corruption scandal in Italy involving several Panamanian officials and said "We can be criticized for many things and accept them, but not for the works we are doing in bringing change to the country."
