Unemployed block Colon streets for 3 hours

Unemployed workers closed roads for three hours and burned tires in Colon city on Monday, September 10.
Members of the Alliance of  the Colon Unemployed  marched through the main streets of the city demanding jobs and job security. 

Spokesman Robert Small said they hadinformation that the plan administered by the National Assistance Program was not solid and the jobs of 900 government workers were in danger.Heavy rains and police intervention finally cleared the streets but, members of the Alliance said that protests willm continue all week.
